Dad,
You
were and always will be my inspiration. You are
a role model that can never be replaced and my
hero that will never fade. On the day you left
us I lost my dad, my coach and a great friend.
I still and always will miss you.
Your Son,
Damion
The Final Whistle
A bear of a man, with a heart of gold.
After he was born they surely broke the mold.
He was very stubborn, never thought himself wrong.
Had an opinion about everything, his convictions
quite strong.
He pulled no punches, said exactly what he thought.
The very person to see, if the truth was what
you sought.
He gave of himself and always expected the best,
and he'd give you HELL if you gave him anything
less.
Everything he did, he gave his all.
To anyone in need, he always answered the call.
He never turned anyone away, his home an open
door
and no matter how fill it was there was always
room for more
His family and friends were his entire world
his wife, his son, his two baby girls
Never give up he'd coach and teach
It's rare to find a man who practiced what he
preached
And that's just what he did, when his body betrayed
his spirit
They told him it was over, but he just wouldn't
hear it.
He fought with all the strength he could find
and he took his life into double overtime
I'll miss his voice, that sparkle in his eye
that smile on his face a mile wide
He was a man I was lucky to have known
But the match is over
the final whistle has been blown!
